A Barn Dance with a difference!

Afte the "Spring Fling" you expect the Summer or Autumn "Fling". Wrong. It was a "Barn Dance". Actually Billy Emslie had the idea of a small, private party  for some friends and family to say "good bye" because of re-location from:

Scotland         to           Canada

At Billy's request the Drumtochty Highland Games Committee arranged a" Farewell Barn Dance " and some 250 friends  gathered to say good-bye and thank hin for his longstanding support. Billy was a founder-member of the Drumtochty Highland Games and was also competing in the heave events.  For 26 years he has supplied the bales for seating and if you have been a visitor to the Games and sat on one of the Straw-bales, he even supported your "bum".

Billy Emslie...

....saying fare-well to  friends, who all enjoyed the party.

Moving to Canada with wife Linda and children Morag and Ian  does not mean to retire for Billy, no he just bought another large farm to carry on and wife Linda has secured a consultants post in the local Hospital. What he also said was he will be spreading the word about the Drumtochty Highland Games and  maybe one day we might be twinned with the Canadian Highland Games from

Regina

All the best and thanks again for your great support !
