Drumtochty Castle area is inspiring. I trailed the whole of the mearns as a youngster with my grandparents who lived in Stonehaven and many a times visited the Clatterin Brig, but for the life of me I can't remember ever seeing the area of Drumtochty. We drove through today on a trip with my children coming back from a favourite haunt Dizzy Rascals in Laurncekirk. I've travelled a lot as far as Laos in South East Asia to find my husband and I can honestly say that I was overwhelmed.Initially with the location of the church, but to be honest until I got to the Clatterin Bridge which we all know so well. Why has this escaped me for so long. Well be back for sure. The Phommavanhs

What an incredibly handsome bunch with a brilliant sense of humour. Not only did they make my first Highland Games experience wonderful but I met some wonderful friends! Greetings from San Francisco!
Very nice, friendly site.
I stumbled across a Scottish Life magazine from 2002 today and reread the article on your Games. It reafirmed my desire to visit sometime in the not too distant future.
I belong to the Caledonian Club of San Francisco. That's our web site above. We've been holding our games consecutively for 140 years now and draw from 50 to 60 thousand people. We stage the whole thing ourselves and thoroughly enjoy the challenge each year. But I often find myself yearning for the more intimate experience of a smaller, more personable gathering such as yours.
I'm sure that some of the native Scots in our group are familiar with your event and the area. I'll be sure to find out more about you folks in anticipation of visiting someday.
Thank you for your hospitality. Cheers.
